Wolford is pleased to announce that Doina Ciobanu has been appointed to the important new role of Brand Sustainability Advisor. Indicative of the company’s continuous pledge towards a more conscientious fashion future, Miss Ciobanu’s assignment is aimed at further developing and communicating the brand’s sustainability characteristics that have been uniquely implemented over the last half-decade, including durable, recycled, and biodegradable award-winning creations. Communicating sustainability initiatives is not easy in an already complex situation therefore Miss Ciobanu is Wolford’s natural choice due to her direct approach and deep understanding to these fundamental issues; she will report directly to Wolford CCO Silvia Azzali.

Moldovan born Doina Ciobanu is a world-renowned influencer, a new breed of environmentalist, boldly using social platforms to highlight the positive, sustainable changes which the fashion industry need undertake. A difficult task, Miss Ciobanu rises to the challenge and is an inspiration to those who aspire to a more sustainable fashion future. An expert in the sustainability consultancy sector, she is ambassador for the No More Plastic Foundation, and has previously acted as an ambassador for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, designed several, successful collections of sustainable jewellery and handbags, and has been awarded amongst Forbes’ 30 under 30 several times running. Miss Ciobanu’s role is to direct the brand’s image in all activities related to aspects of its sustainable development, proposing new product ideas and communication strategies. Each will build upon and amplify Wolford’s leadership in the sector of sustainability, one that dates back to the company’s foundation in 1949, while increasing the brand awareness of Wolford and its relevance in the social media space, particularly amongst the youth of today who follow her in phenomenal numbers.
